Australia’s biggest celebration of Greek cinema is on now around the country – and there are plenty of great films for you to catch this weekend.
Now in it’s 19th year, the Greek Film Festival is showing in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane until this Sunday 4 November.
If you’re in Sydney tonight make sure you catch Alps – the boldly hilarious and unnerving feature that won the top prize at this year’s Sydney Film Festival, and won Best Screenplay at the 2011 Venice Film Festival.
Are you in Melbourne tomorrow? Head to the Cinema Como for City of Children – the harrowing story of four couples who must overcome violent or uncertain circumstances in their quest to have children.
Or no matter where you are, make sure you attend the Closing Night celebrations on Sunday with a premiere screening of Dead Europe – the new Greek-Australian film adapted from Christos Tsiolkas’ (The Slap) controversial book.
