Determined to save his family’s small butchery, Mohsen leaves for Poland to find low-priced sheep. On the way he finds himself lost in quiet East Germany, where he meets former shot-putter Ana and begins to fall in love.
Meanwhile the other villagers assume he is related to a Persian textile dynasty who can help to save the struggling town. He plays along and becomes increasingly popular, until his parents arrive in town in search of him and the truth.
