This November we celebrate the cinema of Bollywood by showcasing outstanding films from India over the five days of Diwali. India produces nearly three times as many films as the US, and we’ve handpicked five of the best recent titles including Devdas, Raavan, Don’t Say A Word, Blue (featuring Kylie Minogue) and Om Shanti Om.

Raavan is an award-winning tale of revenge, love and betrayal featuring Bollywood Queen Aishwarya Rai. Outlaw and local hero Beera kidnaps the Police inspector’s wife after his sister is killed by Police brutality.
Thursday 15 November 7.30pm – Don’t Say A Word (India, 2003)
Bollywood gets a social conscience! Rohan Sippy’s directorial debut is both an expose of modern marriage in India, and an all-singing all-dancing Bollywood feast. Stars former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai.
Friday 16 November 7.30pm – Blue (India, 2009)
After Sagar’s girlfriend is kidnapped, he and his brother are forced to go on an expedition to the depths of the sea to find treasure to pay the ransom. This Bollywood film features a performance by Kylie Minogue.
Saturday 17 November 6.30pm – Om Shanti Om (India, 2007)
Shahrukh Khan stars as the love struck Om who, reincarnated after a tragic death, searches for his lost love. An irresistible Bollywood musical comedy seasoned with invigorating music and catchy dance sequences.
